Thank you very much! I think you should do a extended video about no code customization, talking about all the sections you presented and the posibilities you have to change a bit using simple CSS. Menu change from Hamburger to normal, etc…

Well this is really annoying. I just installed a clean WordPress 5.7 and the technique demonstrated at the 25:30 mark to copy the cover image from the 1st column to the other columns does not work at all. Nor do I have a floating WordPress toolbar that can be dragged to do the copy step. Rather, my toolbar is locked at the top of the screen and does not pop-up contextually. Nor does the image appear as a fixed background after selected the fixed background option. Rather it remains centered in the frame.

Hi is it possible for a beginner to design a simple theme out of the wpdefault theme… without using any page builder? And without coding?

Great video! An easy way to customize Twenty Twenty-One is to install the Twentig WordPress plugin. I discovered it a few months ago on WPTavern, it now supports Twenty Twenty-One.

With the cover effect thing that you showed, would that load that image 3 times? If so, it’s a very inefficient way of making that effect.

Very interesting stuff. I have watsched it seveeral times already. I need to rebuild my website, as the actual theme Elementare seems to cause an unacceptable high CLS count. So here I am trying out the 2021 theme. I ran into twe problems that maybe you can shed some light on, and they both concern the hamburger menu. The theme does not display the hamburger menu on tablets, and when I rotate my phone to horizontal it also does not, but displys the normal menu insted, split over two lines and underneath the logo. I find this very ugly so I tried to find what css code to add to alter that. Tried many things that I looked up in the original css but did not find anything that worked.
The second problem is even worse: when I put a cover image on top of the page, it hides the expanded menu in mobile mode and does not want to scroll down to the rest of the page. Only when I clode the menu again it scrolls, but there is no way of using the hamburger menu in mobile with a cover image in place on top of the page. I can't believe this is meant to be this way. It's even more annoying where the use of a featured image instead is not really possible as the featured image is not responsive and any text I put in it is far too small to read on a phone. I would be extremely grateful if you could shed any light on this matter.
meanwhile, have a good Christmas time in spite of covid.
    Greetings from Madeira island (Portugal)
    Peter
