

BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge police have released the names of the mother and son killed during a double shooing at the Canterbury House Apartments off Sherwood Forest Blvd. Tuesday evening.
Latonya Brown, 47, and Stacy Brown, 19, were shot inside their apartment April 25. Officials tell Unfiltered with Kiran that a mother and son died on the scene. Sources also say a young woman called officials saying her mom had been shot.
UWK has learned that multiple shots were fired and that multiple shell casings were found at the apartment complex. Sources all say that Latonya Brown was shot in the head. An autopsy report on both Latonya and Stacy are pending.
In their update Wednesday morning, Baton Rouge police said they are still working to figure out a motive for the shooting. They have not released any suspects for the double killing.
