WEST BATON ROUGE —- An accident overnight killed a toddler, according to officials.
The West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office said it was around 1:30am on Saturday, June 3 when deputies responded to a wreck involving a UTV/side-by-side. The wreck was around Hwy. 190 near Rougon Rd.
So far in their investigation, WBRSO says it appears juveniles were operating the UTV when it crashed and overturned. An age on those juveniles has not been provided at this time.
In that crash, a three-yr-old girl was injured and transported to a hospital, but did not survive.
The investigation is ongoing, but WBRSO said so far, it appears to be a tragic accident, nothing that could result in charges or arrests.
The name of the toddler has not been released at this time.
