As a web dev I've alwayd steered away from WP.. personally it bugs me.
However I have been playing with the ReHub theme fromThemeFores and all its child themes which seem pretty cool.
What about jnews theme for affiliate?

Problem with this video is that it's not described any of affiliate theme. Affiliate theme is NOT blog theme. Thrive, Ocean, Astra – all are great but they are not AFFILIATE theme. They are blog theme. Affiliate theme is not just content and speed, this worked early but not now. Good affiliate theme requires much more. It must have special blocks, it must have special tracking, it must have integration for Analytics and special generated buttons which are integrated directly in design. Affiliate theme must have high conversion design blocks, like versus pages, table of comparisons, price updates, special landing and promo pages, special community options, cashback, coupon blocks and many many other. This makes theme AFfiliate theme. What's you described is just blog. And google ban such blogs or penalize them very fast especially after recent Google review Update. And it's strange that you didn't explain this latest google update because it can kill all such affiliate blogs which you describe here as example. and we already see this in many of our users who try to make Affiliate blog instead of making Service like sites
Hey Alex, thanks for sharing! If you want to create an affiliate marketing site with potential to become an online shop, would you choose a theme that already offers this option? Or you'd rather start with a content focus theme, grow it and then change to a another theme?
