WordPress Toolkit 5.10 Now Available On Plesk Panel

Lately, the Plesk team announced the availability of WordPress Toolkit 5.10.

The latest version of the toolkit includes several bug fixes as well as enhances the vulnerability scan feature. Additionally, the 5.10 release lays out the foundation for the introduction of API in the product.

WordPress Toolkit 5.10 Now Also Scans Inactive Plugins

The vulnerability scan feature in the older version of the WP Toolkit was used to scan only the active plugins and themes. This created issues in some cases:

For instance, the admins couldn’t check if the inactive plugin was safe to be installed.

To resolve this issue, the update for WordPress Toolkit brings an enhanced vulnerability scan feature that now scans for inactive plugins making it possible to filter out the vulnerable plugins.

Upon discovery of the vulnerabilities, the WordPress Toolkit offers sends a notification and includes details about the vulnerability found on the plugins or themes. For clear visibility and the urgency to address the vulnerabilities, the discovered vulnerabilities are shown in a different tab.

Furthermore, the v5.10 update shows website admins an alert if they haven’t updated the PHP version of their WordPress website. Admins can address this issue by navigating to the link offered in the PHP management menu.

Last but not the least, WP Toolkit v5.10 runs a one-time server-wide scan to manage WordPress installations added manually or via any other management tools.
