I don't think that your tests are valid.
I think that to have a fair test, the content of the different themes should be identical.
That is, visually all themes should display the same.
It's like taking different cars with different engines and weight and pitting them against each other.
I am not a big maven in website development but I would try to make a website in one theme and then try and convert it to another theme (and fixing elements that will probably break in the conversion) and do the comparison then.
I personally use Kadence because it offers the best balance between features and speed. GeneratePress and Hello are fast themes but offer very little features in the free version (hello need elementor pro and generatepress's theme builder is only available on pro). Kadence offers and awesome theme builder and is in my opinion similar in speed as generatepress.

Hi. I just rewatched the video and… Generate press seems like a cool WordPress theme, but.. what's up with Elementor free? I don't see anything added to the 'normal' wordpress. Am I missing something? Where are the 40+ Basic Widgets and the website builder? All I get is the standard WP builder… Please help.

Hi tony your test results are very much accurate.
I also tested 4 themes (oceanwp, astra, generatepress, Hestia) on the same server and generatepress was the fastest one. Even further more i also tested the site speed on Google developer console and gtmatrix and again the generatepress was the winner.
Personally I like the oceanwp theme because it gives you lots of customization options.

I miss the comparison of the themes with page content. It gave significantly different results in others' tests, GeneratePress was slower, than Astra and Kadence, but it was an earlier version then.

Thanks for your video Tony. However, I expected a deeper analysis. I did not understand the meaning of measuring the weight of the uncompressed template, nor the number of files and folders. Both the weight and the number of files do not reflect how fast the theme is. The weight and number of requests should be analyzed by measuring the theme applied in the front of the website. That is, by measuring the template directly on the website.
