This is an overview of the plugins I use on every WordPress website that I build. In my opinion, this is what I consider the best plugins as a baseline for WordPress and web developers. These include optimization plugins, Advanced Custom Fields Pro, SEO tools, and more. Let me know what your plugin stack looks like and how it compares to mine.

Could you make a Video about acf vs metabox? Since metabox has cpt built in I'm really thinking about bying it. Most of the time I'm working on Avada pages, which brings acf pro with it.
+Hydrogen just have to have it now. I always install all in one migration
Hey mate great content , ive learned alot from you and have about 100 more hours to watch lol…..I just want to ask how do you handle security?
Hey 👋 Thanks for the mention here Jonathan ✌
I notice you dont have a back up plugin. You thoughts would be appreciated
Great video, as are all of your videos I have seen thus far. I am seriously looking to moving to O2 (I have been thinking about it for a while). I was hesitant to do so because of the perception of O2 not being easy to learn and more like hand-coding. Additionally, I have seen many reviews trashing both the O2 community and the software.
After viewing Paul C's, Kyle and Matt's (admin bar), and your videos (which I am bingeing right now), I am SO happy to see that it is not the case and am not sure how others mistakenly came up to the conclusions they did.
After watching this video, I did have a few questions. (nothing to do with O2 yet; I am sure those that they will come 🙂 ) I, too, use WPMU, and I was surprised not to see Defender Pro on your plugin list. — do you only use the cloudways bot protection and no other security plugin?
Also, do you not use any of the WPMU hosting services which come with your membership?
Hi Jonathan quick question , if you buoy a site using oxygen for a customer and then they didn’t want your support then would you advise them they need to buy the oxygen plug-in ? Same for the other plugins ? I suppose if you soppier them on a care plan then you just absorb it but could it get complicated if they then move away from you ?
For me the tools that I use across y websites are the RankMath and PiontetForms. Everything else depends on the project. For simple projects I go with a theme like Blocksy or Kadence. For more advanced stuff, Oxygen it my first choice. But I am always flexible to what I am going to choose. The tools are the means to get me there and not the destination (that was deep)
btw – Thanks for another great video!
On a similar note – about 'abandoned' plugins: 'Elegant Custom Fonts By Louis Reingold' also not updated for 3 years and yet recommended here (on a page "Last modified: June 20, 2020"):

My question is when is it safe to use a plugin which has this warning on the WordPress site –
"This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress."
I love Gutenberg now – I always install Kadence blocks on all new sites, great control and global block settings

Thanks for the video! Do you not have a standard plugin for backups, security and caching? If not then congrats because your sites are truly ultra light but then again you'd be missing some key
functionality.
