Let me clarify some important things before moving on.

The Site Language of WordPress can be changed without any plugin in this drop-down under general settings.

That’s great but if you want to further translate your theme and everything on your site, I recommend the TranslatePress plugin which is free.

Just go to Settings and click on TranslatePress, once the plugin is active, obviously.

For this video, I will show you how to translate some parts of the free version of Neve which is our WordPress theme but keep in mind that TranslatePress works with any other theme out there.

  7. Hello, I don't understand why only the translation on the main page (home) works for me, it doesn't allow me to do it on the others, it gives me the option and everything, but when I change the language on the button for the page to change language it doesn't work, who can you help me?

  9. How does DeepL & Google translation API works together? DeepL doesn't support some of the langage, so if I use Google translation API, will Google API override the DeepL translations?

  11. Hi! I cannot translate the first page. I can translate everything else but the first page is not translated even if the plug in saved the translated text… Do you know what could it be?

    Also when I am logged in – it is sometimes working and I see translation on my website, when I log out – some of them disapear…

  13. Hello, i have problem with translatePress beeing in conflict with one plugin. It shows unwanted span tags and it translates pdfs created by the plugin and fails doing that. Do you know how to exlude that plugin from beeing translated? In advanced settings you can exclude strings and words, but how to ceep out this plugin, that causes errors. Otherwise it works perfect!

  20. DO NOT USE TRANSLATEPRESS! We downloaded translatepress pro businness pack for 140$. Then we downloaded there additional add-ons from there own website BUT these add-ons had some maleware in them. Now our default search is Bing.. and we can't seem to fix it with standard anti-virus and anti-malware. NOT ONLY THAT but after 1 day of using translatepress our site crashed! It gave us the "500 internal server error". We cheked our logs with our host and we saw these errors in bulk: AH00124: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use ā€˜LimitInternalRecursionā€™ to increase the limit if necessary. Use ā€˜LogLevel debugā€™ to get a backtrace. On support sites we saw other people having the same log errors when using translatepress. Luckily we made a back-up before installing this useless plugin and after using the backup to revert back to before the use of this plugin everything worked as normal. DO NOT USE THIS PLUGIN. We looked at their refund policy and it states that "e will gladly provide a refund within 15 calendar days of the original purchase. After 15 days from the purchase date no refunds can be processed." AND THEN IT STATES "Refund requests may take up to 15 working days to process." This is laughable. Please do not give your hard earned money to these scammers.

    Just one quick question: when I add the Language Switch the main menu says (in red): "There are invalid menu items. Check or delete them."

  24. Hello I recently translated my website thanks to your tutorial although My search console showed that I am facing an issue. Console says ā€œCustom query parameter not defined in target URLā€. My default language is Polish but i added English and German. These are exmaples of urlā€™s :
