I put the WordPress folder inside the MAMP folder but when i click on MyWebsite on mamp it just says "The virtual host was set up successfully.". I can't see the directory, folders etc.

I have no software background and learning from scratch with this course is really valuable. I have not fully completed the course but finished installation on local hosting using MAMP. As i do not have domain name and hosting plan as yet, can I create my first practice website locally and then transfer it to a live sever later? Maybe it is covered later but just want to know. Thanks a lot for the great content and the way you explain things are very easy to follow for a beginner like me!

Thanks so much for this tutorial, really easy to follow. One question I have though is once I've set up the database and use MAMP to access the 'My Website' root directory to be able to install WordPress, I get a 'Mac OSX Web Sharing' page and not the root directory? Currently using OSX Catalina, latest version of MAMP 6.0. Any help would be much appreciated, thx

If you can see this page, your new virtual host was set up successfully. Now, web content can be added and this placeholder page1 should be replaced or deleted.

What should I do??
