Stop Using SEO PLUGINS – This Brings More Traffic!

The Mic I mention: https://passiveincomegeek.com/mic
Seo plugins like Yoast and All In One SEO Pack had their time. Today Google can do just fine without and as I’ll show you in this video, you can get MORE traffic to your site without an SEO plugin.
Yoast is by far the most used SEO plugin for WordPress with All in One SEO Pack as a close number two. They both do the same thing, they help you define meta descriptions and meta titles and they will advise you on how to write your content.

But that will often end up hurting your number of page views and visits instead.

By not defining the metadata like the meta description and the meta title at all you can let Google find the best piece of text on your site for a better result. That’s a very effective way of doing SEO that doesn’t require anything from you – other than deleting all those SEO plugins.

This was so perfect. I'm totally with you. Also I think that my low speed caused by css and java could go simply away by deinstalling yoast, autoptimze and wp-optimzer.

SEO plugins are still helpful, If we are talking about the meta title and description, it is not necessary to fill them. If you leave them empty, search engines can still pick the right title or description dynamically. Not all blogs are the same as yours, some blogger needs an SEO plugin to optimize their content correctly. Anyway, we are doing different niches and strategies.

It sounds like you're presenting this as a "not this but that" or as an "either/or" strategy. Do you think using both approaches would be good: great content and a few good keywords?

    Hi Morten.
It looks like you're not the only one not using SEO plugin. I am shocked of the results that you have presented and most do make sense. Hence i thought to get rid of my SEO plugin (or temporary disable it) but i have 10 redirected posts and now i stuck.

What can you advice me to go about those redirects?
Also. If you don't use seo plugin, then how do you rank for a kw? Where do you place the kw? How do you know which kw you've used?

Hi Morten. Thought I'd play around with this concept, but like another subscriber from below, KEEPING Yoast but disabling Focus Keyword, Title Tag and Meta Description tag. The problem I'm having is the SEO 'pills' keep inserting themselves into the title tag. How do I get around this?

I'm such an idiot for listening to you. I uninstalled All in One SEO a week ago after watching this video and lost about 20% of my traffic. And no it's not the June Google update, Traffic actually went up at the beginning of June. This advice is very dangerous.

These days (2021) I see Yoast recommended most often for setting up Open Graph and Twitter cards. How do we handle that without an SEO plugin?

Hello, great video, really enjoyed it, just a couple of questions though, first is this stuff still the way to do things in 2021, an second, does tis mean that we no longer need to set a focus keyphrase?
    Thanks again for the video/s

Very interesting video. One thing you mentioned is you do tell your writers to have the same ‘keywords’ in the url, title and the initial paragraphs, but if your url slug is something like “how-ride-bike”, it means you won’t use those exact words in that order right?

Great video! Do you still recommend not having Rank Meth on your website? I have created a new website using word press and Elementor and am wondering how to rank my service based site? It's not yet showing on Google.Any insight would be helpful. Thank you.
